Jennifer Bronkhorst
B.Sc Occupational Therapist (UCT) | M.Sc (Stell)
Jennifer is an occupational therapist with 15 years experience. She completed her bachelor’s
degree at The University of Cape Town and holds a master's degree in Human Rehabilitation
Studies from the University of Stellenbosch.
While working at a physical rehabilitation centre she developed her love for neurology and
completed post-graduate courses to upskill her knowledge such as advanced wheelchair seating
and Bobath (a course on the treatment of neurological conditions) and fitness to drive. She
enjoys caring for patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal
injuries, and other neuropathies.
With a passion and awe for how the brain works, Jen has delved into the area of neonatology
(working with new-borns, especially premmies) and loves ensuring that these little ones
develop the best of their abilities and strive in every area.
Since opening her own practice in Hermanus she has branched out into hand therapy which
involves working with patients suffering from arthritis and other hand injuries. Jen strives
to provide excellent, empathic care for her patients.
Other than that, Jen loves baking and being creative and wishes she would be more active!

I was born and raised in the lovely town of Hermanus, and I'm thrilled to be back here to
serve the community in a different way.
I graduated with a B Occupational Therapy degree from Stellenbosch University in December
2022 and completed my community service year in 2023 at Klerksdorp-Tshepong Hospital Complex
in the North West.
Working at a tertiary hospital in my community service year offered me the opportunity to
gain experience in a variety of different fields of OT and seeing a wide range of different
conditions, including neurological, hand, paediatric, and surgical conditions.
I am a dedicated therapist, willing to go the extra mile for my clients/patients. My love
for people drives my passion for this profession and my patients/clients. I have a special
interest in physical, paediatrics (with a focus on early developmental milestones), and hand
rehabilitation. During 2023, I completed a course in hand injuries and rehabilitation to
sharpen up my knowledge in this field.
In my free time, you will find me taking a cold plunge in the ocean, having coffee or a
braai with friends or family, hiking in the mountains, doing window shopping, or making
music.
I strive to offer empathy, and be a beacon of hope to those around me.

I’m Anzel Pauw, and Occupational Therapist. I completed my bachelor’s degree in occupational
therapy at the University of Stellenbosch in 2022. After completing my studies, my journey
continued in the heart of the Northern Cape where I was exposed to rural circumstances. I
completed my community service year in De Aar and was responsible for the majority of the
district’s clinics as well as the hospital. Working in a rural setting taught me the
importance of our job and how important quality care and intentional interactions are for
our patients.
Since starting to work in 2023, I have grown to enjoy hand injuries, neurological
conditions, brain injuries and neonatology. I consider it very important to learn from every
opportunity that you can and have completed the Basic Seating Course for wheelchairs and
completed a course in hand therapy.
When I have the chance, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I try to live an
active lifestyle and enjoy running, hiking and going for leisurely strolls. I also enjoy
trying to make new recipes and reading on the beach.
I am eager to delve into our rich and diverse field as occupational therapists and learn
more about the treatment of various conditions. It is important for me to create a safe and
comfortable environment for my patients to heal and learn and I always aim to provide the
best service that I can.
